As a gesture of appreciation and to celebrate alumni returning to the university for the 19th UniMAP Convocation Ceremony, the Alumni Relations Centre, in collaboration with the UniMAP Alumni Association and the UniMAP Alumni Cooperative, organized the Alumni Gathering & Feast by UniMAP Alumni Association 2024 on November 10, 2024. The event was held at Tasik Alumni, Pauh Putra Campus, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The program, which ran from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, successfully brought together nearly 250 guests, including graduates, alumni from various cohorts, their families, and university members, particularly UniMAP students.

The event was graced by the presence of UniMAP’s top management, including YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zaliman Sauli, UniMAP Vice-Chancellor; YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA); and Prof. Ir. Dr. Rizalafande Che Ismail, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Khairul Azwan Ismail, a member of the University Board of Directors, as well as Deputy Deans of HEPA and Faculty Alumni Coordinators. Their presence amidst the busyness of the convocation enhanced the warmth and excitement of the gathering.

As a token of appreciation, the event included the presentation of mock souvenirs from sponsors who supported the Alumni Homecoming Program 2024: RM2,000 from the UniMAP Alumni Association, RM1,900 from Luxe Motors, RM800 from the UniMAP Alumni Cooperative, and RM500 from Lelangit. Heartfelt thanks were extended to all who contributed to the success of the program, including donors to the UniMAP Alumni Waqf Fund.

It is hoped that programs like this will continue to serve as a platform to strengthen the bonds between alumni and the university while encouraging more alumni to contribute toward the shared development of UniMAP.
